Kaitlyn turned One!!It always amazes me how quickly a year goes by, especially when talking about babies. The first year of their life is such a mixture of moments that seem like they'll never end and moments you never want to end. But, the year has passed and now my little baby is a toddler: a sweet, mischievous, every-happy doodlebug toddler. Oh I couldn't love her more! This past year I have really tried to savor the moments with her, to hold her longer, to gaze into her baby eyes longer. And it was TOTALLY worth it! I wish I had done that with my first child. Kaitlyn's big sisters think she's pretty special too. As a photographer I was so excited about all the pictures I was going to get with my new baby and all the new poses I was going to practice and try out. Well, Kaitlyn had other plans. She was not cooperative. Nevermind, though, I have managed to capture some moments, some looks, that still melt my heart when I look at them. I borrowed the idea below and the actual ONE letters from a friend of mine. Thank you Stephanie! I did nothing to edit the pictures in the collage. They are SOOC. But the collage looks okay anyway, I think. It took ages to get a few decent pictures for this. I'd hand Kaitlyn the letters and she'd just throw them on the ground before I could snap a picture. Like I said, not the most photographically cooperative child. But don't worry, she will soon learn that taking pictures is fun. :) After all, I've already been giving her lots of practice. ha!
Here are a few other pictures from her at one year old.

The navy blue balloon dress was the dress my oldest wore for her one year portraits. I thought it would be fun to take Kaitlyn's picture wearing it.
